Ban and fine for Anglesey woman who drove above alcohol limit

A WOMAN from Anglesey has been disqualified from driving and fined after being found guilty of drink-driving.

Lisa Lawrence, 43, of Bryn Paun, Llangoed, Beaumaris, was accused of driving a Volkswagen Golf vehicle on the B5109 in Beaumaris on January 12 with 114 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood in her system.

The Welsh legal limit is 80 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.

She pleaded guilty at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on April 11.

She received a 14-month disqualification period from driving, which will be reduced by 14 weeks should she complete an obligatory course by January 4, 2023.

In addition, she was handed a £120 fine, costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, and a victim surcharge of £34, to be paid in full by May 9.
