Water Sports in Anglesey
Whether you’re dipping your toes in the water for the first time or you’re a seasoned water baby, Anglesey is a brilliant place to enjoy some action and adventure on the water. Take your pick from surfing, kite surfing, paddle boarding, diving, fishing, coasteering, sea kayaking, sailing and swimming.
Diving is particularly popular given the vast number of shipwrecks and reefs around the coast, which make for superb diving territory. And there are a number of sailing and yacht clubs on the island where you can learn the ropes as a novice sailor or charter your own yacht.
Based in Holyhead, the Anglesey Divers centre is close to some of the most outstanding areas of natural beauty around the UK. They offer a range of activities to suit all levels of experience - from those seeking guidance whilst taking their first exploratory breaths in a swimming pool, to more experienced divers who would like to achieve instructor status.
